If you know me a little, you know how I love home decorating. I have always loved rearranging the furniture in a room, doing arts and crafts, and reimagining spaces in my home. As a child, I remember when my grandma used to save junk for me to create things with and I kept it in my dresser and deemed it my “junk drawer”. One time she gave me an old calendar filled with beautiful florals that I used to create a ceiling border in my teenage bedroom. When the time came for my parents to sell the house years later, it was kind of sad when we had to rip my “border” down (also sad that the masking tape I used left marks in the paint all over the wall!) In my college days, my sister and I would rearrange the furniture for fun, just to make our little apartment feel fresh and new. Most of our furniture consisted of garage sale finds but we somehow found a way to make it feel like a cozy and welcoming space.

Today, it is easy to find inspiration on Pinterest or Instagram to inspire me to decorate a room. But nothing beats a good coffee table book that you can sit down and leaf through for a little inspiration. Anyone love the smell of new books too? Coffee table books also make great conversation pieces, and guests have something to look at when the meal takes a little longer than expected to cook.
I recently picked up this book and this one, and they are chalk full of beautiful photos and ideas to keep me busy this summer. I also rounded up a few of my favourite home decor books for you today. Many of these books I already own, and some are books I would love to get someday. Some are books to help one get organized, others are DIY home decor books, and some are full of beautiful photos and tips for decorating. I hope you find inspiration in these books! Do you own any of these books?
