We were so spoiled with beautiful weather this weekend! I may have even gotten myself a sunburn! Naturally, the weather made me want to get our deck and patio ready to enjoy! I recently ordered a new outdoor sectional and outdoor rug for the space under our deck. Not wanting to spend a ton of money on furniture, I searched high and low for a budget friendly deal. So when I came across this set, I knew it was perfect for our space. And as a bonus—it also came with a cute little coffee table!

Spring Has Sprung!
When I think about how I want to use the patio, I think about all the wonderful things that we can do on the patio in the spring and summer. Barbeques, picnics, outdoor parties, relaxing with a book, and sipping cold drinks! Spring is by far my favorite season—the leaves have emerged from their buds and the grass is greening up. My daughter and I even found a robin’s nest in a tree in our yard a couple days ago. The mama bird flew away long enough for me to snap a quick picture of her beautiful eggs. Isn’t nature so amazing?!
Rattan Furniture is Your Friend
In my search for outdoor furniture, I new that rattan would be my best bet. I love woven rattan furniture, because maintenance is so easy. You can simply hose it off to clean it. I love the neutral beige cushions, but they will show the dirt. Luckily, the cushions have zippered covers that can be easily be removed for washing. My kids aren’t very careful about keeping their dirty feet off!
My Outdoor Rug
I’ve been eyeing this outdoor rug for a while, and I think it looks beautiful in the space! The blue and gray colors give it a coastal feel, which I love. It’s an indoor/outdoor rug, so is great on a covered patio like ours, but could also be used indoors. It would be nice under a dining table or in an entry way, too!
Now For the Accessories!
The string lights are a beautiful addition because they add so much ambience to the space at night. I also plan to dress up the space with some throw pillows and planters with flowers. Wouldn’t a water fountain feature be fun to add, too? I can already picture myself sitting and reading a book with my feet up and listening to the sound of running water!
What do you all think of our patio space? Are their accessories you would you add to dress up the space? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
