Our powder room bathroom is the smallest bathroom in our home, but it is also probably the most used bathroom too. It’s the only bathroom on our main floor, so the whole family uses this one a lot (hence the crooked toilet paper holder!) We used to keep the kids’ toothbrushes in this bathroom because it was more convenient, but I finally had enough of that and moved their toothbrushes to the upstairs bathroom. My sister was visiting one day and we had a good laugh because there were literally SEVEN tubes of toothpaste on the counter in our powder room. Why we needed that many open tubes of toothpaste for our family is beyond me!

I recently picked up a new piece of canvas art at HomeSense, and I decided to hang it in our powder room bathroom. I’ve hung a few different things in this bathroom, but none of them looked just right. I was drawn to the natural colours of this piece, and I always seem to have a thing for “tree” pictures! If it’s not a sign or a photo of my kids on the wall, it’s probably a tree! There’s something about pictures of nature that makes the room feel cozy and relaxed, and I think I’ve got a bit of an obsession with trees! I also love this similar forest canvas art! Forests are so mysterious looking!
I am so excited about this mason jar foaming soap dispenser that I bought off Amazon recently. I’ve been searching for a cute foaming soap dispenser, and this one is perfect! It’s got such farmhouse charm, which I love! It comes with waterproof labels too, which I haven’t gotten around to applying yet. They are really cute though!
The problem with foaming hand soap is that those cute refillable soap dispensers are typically only made for liquid hand soap. I use the Thieves foaming hand soap by Young Living. I’m a big fan of their essential oils; (see this post for more about my love for essential oils!) I love the Thieves soap because it smells AMAZING! For those of you that are unfamiliar with the scent, Thieves is a mixture of cinnamon, clove, lemon, rosemary, and eucalyptus oils. The bottle that the Thieves hand soap comes in is fine, but I love having a cute soap dispenser on the counter. So when I found these mason jar foaming soap dispensers, I was so excited to try them! I bought the two-pack of lids with pumps because I had jars on hand, but you can also purchase the mason jar with the lid and pump. Isn’t it cute? So much better than the old dispenser!
I love this two-tiered black wire wall basket for storage in our bathroom. It is great for holding hand towels, a jar with bath salts, a candle, or greenery.
I love how this wire wall basket gives a farmhouse feel to the bathroom, and the black colour ties in well with our black door knobs. I’ve had the rectangular wicker basket for years now, and I can’t remember where I bought it. I think it might have come from London Drugs. I love it because it fits a Kleenex box perfectly. These lidded baskets are similar.
I also love this pretty mirror (we bought ours from Lowe’s). We have these mirrors in three bathrooms in our home! This round bevelled mirror has a similar style.
The cute little green dish was an antique store find that I snagged a few months ago. It works perfect to hold the homemade Thieves Cleaner toilet bombs that I made to toss in the toilet when it needs some freshening up. (Search “Thieves Toilet Bombs” on Pinterest and you’ll find a bunch of recipes!)
What do you all think of my new canvas art? Is anyone else out their obsessed with tree pictures like me? Have you been searching for a cute foaming soap dispenser too? Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
