As much as I LOVE summer, call me crazy but I’m starting to think about how I’m going to decorate for fall! I’m not quite ready to break out the pumpkins or anything yet, but I’ve been finding tons of beautiful ideas online and pinning them to my Pinterest page.

The kids and I went for a little outing yesterday to search for some fall plants for the front porch. We made a quick stop in at Lowes (well…as quick as could be with four kids in tow!) and I spotted some white mum plants for $3.74, and I just had to pick some up!
I don’t have any extra planter pots kicking around because I’m not quite ready to pull out my summer flowers yet, so I was also on the hunt for some cheap pots. My hubby found me these terracotta pots that were on sale at London Drugs.
He couldn’t find any matching pots, so I used this chalk spray paint to get them looking the way I wanted. It was such a quick and easy fix!
Here they are after one coat of chalk spray paint:
Done! Two coats later. I was a little short on paint for the last pot, but it was the whitest one to begin with so I think it still looks good. I just love how easy this chalk spray paint was to work with!
I love how the white flowers look in the white pots! I’m really drawn to neutral decor right now. Shades of white, ivory, cream, grey, gold, black…there’s just something so cozy and calming about a neutral palette! I actually love when the trees turn colour (our trees mostly turn yellow) but I really want to create a neutral colour scheme for decorating my house and porch this fall. How about you? Is anyone else really into neutral fall decor too? I also wanted to share with you some fun neutral farmhouse fall decor ideas that I found, many of which would look beautiful all year long!

This striped burlap table runner is a great price, and I think would be so beautiful on the dining room table or console table for the fall. I ordered one for my Thanksgiving tablescape.
I love olive branches, and this olive wreath would be perfect for a fall mantle, front door, or hanging on an old chippy window frame on the mantel. This white pumpkin garland would look lovely on a mantel or in a wooden box table centerpiece surrounded by white candles. I love how neutral it is, and it would be perfect for Thanksgiving decor too!
I love vintage style decor, and this wooden crate with metal handles looks like just the right container for a fall table centerpiece. I think it would look lovely filled with leaves, pine cones, candles, or mason jars with flowers.
I just love cotton stems and these would be perfect in a jar or vase on the mantel for a beautiful display. I have a large antique jar with a narrow opening that has been waiting for a purpose, and I think these cotton stems might be just the right fit!
I already have a couple buffalo plaid decor items in my home, and this black and white plaid table runner would be the perfect addition! It would be beautiful for a fall table setting or on a console table.
I think this pumpkin patch pillow cover is absolutely adorable! It would be perfect on the couch or as a cozy addition on a front entry bench, all season long!
I absolutely love this grey leaf outdoor rug for a fall front porch. It would look beautiful layered with a “hello” door mat, or it would look great by itself! I love how the leaves on this one are perfect for fall!
I have two of these charcoal plaid pillow covers on the bed in our master bedroom (see this post). There’s something about plaid that I just love for the fall! I might have to steal these from our bedroom for the living room!
Soy candles are my absolute favorite! This pumpkin latte candle sounds so yummy, and would be great for a coffee table centerpiece. I’m picturing a tree trunk platter adorned with this candle, some vintage books, and a few white pumpkins!
Fall is the perfect time to do some baking! If you love to bake, this white dish would be a lovely serving dish for your pies! I love making saskatoon crisp, and I think it would be so pretty in this white pie dish!
I own some buffalo plaid pillow covers and have them in my living room and entry way right now. They were a great price and I’m really happy with the quality! I love black and white!
Everyone needs a cozy faux fur throw blanket to curl up in on those cool nights. This one looks so cozy and soft!
I adore this sweet sign Autumn Blessings Sign. I LOVE metal signs, and this one would be so cute hanging on the front door or a hook in an entryway.
This rustic burlap print would be so cute to toss in a frame for the fall. I love how simple this would be to switch up the art in your home for the season!
I’ve been eyeing this hello door mat for quite some time now. I have a similar one that I think would look great layered with the leaf rug that I shared above!
I think this lantern would be lovely on an old crate with a LED candle in it, surrounded by white pumpkins. I have one similar to this that I can’t wait to put on display in a beautiful way this fall! I currently have it sitting on our front porch, and noticed the other day that one of my kids put their dirty white socks in it! So it’s time to find put this baby on display in a little nicer way!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today! What do you guys think of the pots I chalk painted? Did any of my fall farmhouse finds catch your eye?
