Since moving into our home 5 years ago, I have been wanting a new coffee table. You may remember that I chalk painted a coffee table for our living room (see this post for more about that), and it worked fine but was the wrong shape and size for our space. So a new coffee table was a long time coming, and I searched high and low for one that fits the style I wanted but also was relatively friendly on the budget. I wanted a round coffee table, to break up the pattern of all my other rectangular furniture. I also wanted something made of solid wood that would last with my 4 kids running around.

When I saw this solid wood coffee table, I knew it was the perfect fit for our living room. I feel like it is the perfect size for our living room. It is sturdy and solid. The kids love to sit around it to play board games or Playmobil.
I love that it is made of solid wood, and the distressed table top is beautiful. The color is also a great match for some of the other furniture in our home.
I also found a bunch of other furniture and decor items that I love that also have a cottage farmhouse look. All these items would go great with our new coffee table, but (obviously) I won’t be purchasing them all for my home. It is fun though, to create design boards with items I love just for inspiration purposes!

Faux plants are always great accent pieces for a room. This faux fern and this faux eucalyptus tree would add a nice pop of greenery to any space. A fiddle leaf fig tree is always a great option, too.
I’m always drawn to wood accent and furniture pieces. Furniture with spindle details have a vintage look. This spindle end table and these spindle arm chairs would make great furniture pieces for a cottage farmhouse. I think they are so beautiful! I also love this large round wooden mirror—the color of the wood would look great with my coffee table, don’t you think?!
Lately, I’m loving blue as an accent color, and I adore this textured pillow and this dusty blue chevron pillow. I think this distressed blue and gray rug would be the perfect jumping off point for the design in a living space or bedroom. If I ever replace the rug in my living room, it will likely be with a rug like this.
I’ve considered getting a tv stand for our master bedroom. Currently, we do not have a tv in our bedroom, but we had one in our old house and I kind of miss having one. I love this rustic tv stand with lots of drawers and space for the electronic equipment. Because it’s on the taller side, I think it would be beautiful in a bedroom, but it would also be a great piece for a living room.
What do you think of my new coffee table? I hope you enjoyed my round up of other cottage farmhouse finds too, and that you were able to draw some inspiration from it for your own spaces!
