One of my favorite ways to mix up my mantel decor is to change the print in my frames. It’s such a cheap and easy way to have new art. You can print it at home, or take it to a printing store like Staples or Costco. I usually order my prints online and then go pick them up in store. I like to print on cardstock so it is a little heavier weight and more durable. Fast, easy, and cheap!
I love Easter Sunday because it is a reminder that Jesus has overcome all things, even death on a cross. On the third day He rose from the dead, just as He said He would. No matter what life throws at us, Jesus will overcome it all—He will be the victor in the end. This Easter Sunday is extra special because I just got to hold my friend’s newborn baby. While this baby may not have been planned, God’s plan was greater. This new life arrived early this morning, the same day we remember Jesus coming back to life. Jesus died on the cross for our sins; He took our punishment for us. His death washed away our sins, so that we may have new life in Christ. I love that the little baby I held in my arms today will forever be a reminder of the hope Jesus gives us on Easter Sunday.
In church today, we sang the hymn “Because He Lives”, and I thought the words were quite fitting.
“How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives;
But greater still the calm assurance:
This child can face uncertain days because He lives!”
