You’ve probably heard the saying before that “Every room needs a touch of black.” Black goes with everything, and your eye is drawn to black accents in a room. I recently painted a vintage coffee table black, that I am using in my front entry as a bench. I love how it adds a pop of black in my entry way. I also went with black door handles and light fixtures in my home, and I love the contrast of black with my light-colored walls. Today I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite black accents for you, many of which I have in my own home!

First up is this hanging lantern that I have in my entry way. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it, and it really makes a statement in the foyer. I think they would also be beautiful hanging over top of a large kitchen island. I love the pattern the seeded glass casts at night.
Next up are these rustic wall hooks. They come in a pack of 10, so if you have a big family (or just a lot of coats!) this set would be great for a mudroom or entry way wall.
I love this two-tiered metal wall basket! I have this hanging in our powder room bathroom. In it I put a faux plant, a jar full of homemade toilet bombs, and some fresh hand towels.
Black picture frames are a classic way to add black to a room. This gallery wall frame set would look great above a couch or in a stairwell.
I saw this adorable metal chalkboard stand recently, and I think it would be so cute placed on the counter and used to write your grocery list on.
When on holidays a few months ago I was in a store that had one of these Marshall Portable Bluetooth Speakers. It wasn’t for sale, but I loved how it fit the decor of the store, and I’ve been wanting one every since!
I have two buffalo plaid black and white checkered pillows in my living room. The ones I purchased are no longer available, but these buffalo plaid pillow covers look to be almost exactly the same. I love using feather pillow inserts to stuff my pillows with.
Aren’t these bathroom signs adorable? I think they would be so cute on the front of a powder room door.
I love these black felt letterboards. It’s such a fun idea to change up the quote or saying on them. You could also change up the words for a specific holiday, use it for photos props, or put a favorite bible verse on it.
This Brandt Black Rug I think would be gorgeous in an entry way. It is similar to the rug I have. It’s dark enough to hide the dirt, and has a vintage farmhouse feel to it.
I find it a necessity to have easy access to paper towel at all times in our home! If you’re going to have it on the counter, why not make it look pretty in this antique black paper towel holder?
Well, that’s all for now, folks! If you happen to purchase one of these black accents, I’d love for you to post a photo and tag me on Instagram @valleyandbirch!
