It’s been raining here a lot lately so it was so nice to wake up to some sunshine today! Our yard is looking like a bit of a jungle, so we are hoping to squeeze in some yard work today. And when I say “we”, I mean my husband! Haha–good deal for me, right?! Our zero-turn mower kind of scares me, and my husband is happy to do the work. I do other things in the yard like weeding and watering the garden and flowers–but he does the mowing. One day I’ll decide I’m ready to learn the mower! But today’s not that day! Today sounds like a good day though to grab myself a soda and sit out on my deck and watch the kids play! My kids’ favourite summer activity so far has been kite flying. At the front of our house we have a little hill that they love to run down with their kites. So my front porch is the perfect spot to watch the kite flying in action!
I decorated our front porch using some patio furniture I’ve had for a few years now.
My white bench was from Costco online a few years ago, but I found a similar bench HERE.
The rug I found at our local Giant Tiger Store. Isn’t it pretty? (I’ve linked a few other blue rugs I love at the end of this post!)
This set of two outdoor lumbar pillows I snagged off Amazon. I love the pattern and quality of these pillows. They are just the right size for our chairs, and I love how they tie in with the rug.
On my little end table I placed a black lantern with an LED candle that I’ve had for a long time (I linked similar ones for you–I’ve had mine for many years now!) The cement pot was a dollar store find that I chalk painted a couple months ago and filled with faux lavender.
I used two galvanized tubs as planters for my flowers. I just put some rocks in the bottom under the dirt to help with drainage. I think they are the perfect addition to my porch; I always love adding vintage pieces!
I also had a couple other planter pots that I used in this space. I love this blue one!
Here are a few blue outdoor rugs I also love:
That’s about all I have for you today! I hope you were able to find some inspiration for your patio! Have a wonderful weekend!!!
