Only 6 days until Christmas! We are hosting close to 40 people on Christmas Day, so I think it’s time to stop procrastinating. Usually I don’t stress out too much about the whole house being clean from top to bottom when we have company. As long as the main floor is tidy, that’s good enough. But this time, we have extended family coming over that have never had a tour of our “new” house. We’ve been in our home over 3 years now, so I feel kind of bad that we haven’t invited everyone over yet. So that’s why I better get to cleaning something. My problem is, I’d rather decorate than clean!
I did get around to completing a much needed job today, which was fold and put away laundry in our master bedroom. I also took some pictures of our bedroom! My husband always makes fun of me a because if he comes home to a room clean and tidy, it’s usually because I’ve been taking pictures! What does it matter, as long as it’s clean?!!! That’s what I think!
The pillows and bedding in my photos are really an inexpensive look to achieve. The white duvet cover I’ve raved about before in this post, and I’m still loving it. It’s a simple staple bedding item that I use all the time. White brightens up the room, and I can change up the pillows whenever I want to give it a different look. White goes with everything!
I ordered another one of these white eyelet euro shams the other day, because I had 2 but wanted a third. I think 3 euro pillows works better on a king size bed, and I love the pretty farmhouse/vintage look of these shams. I just use the large Ikea feather pillow inserts inside, which are quite inexpensive.
The red buffalo plaid pillow covers were also a simple and budget-friendly Christmas addition to our bedroom. The hope pillow cover in the front I just ordered the other day and it arrived super fast. (I got it in this set of 4 Christmas pillow covers.) The little green wreath (similar to this one) I had in our storage closet, and I thought I would just place it in the center window for a Christmasy touch. I love it there!
The white Christmas tree I ordered a couple months ago. My daughter also has one in her room, and I love having this one in our master bedroom. I just used an inexpensive set of LED battery-operated lights that I bought at Walmart.
You can find the rug in our master bedroom here. I hope you enjoyed this post about our Christmas master bedroom and came away with a few ideas! I’d love to hear what you think! Drop me a comment below! I’m off to watch the kids’ school Christmas concert this afternoon—the kids are so excited to perform!
