I don’t know about you, but I just love the ambiance that a Christmas tree creates. I love spending time with my family with the glow of Christmas lights in the background. It just makes me feel relaxed and happy! So this year, I decided we needed a tree downstairs in the playroom. Our playroom is also our media room where we chill on the couch and watch TV in the evenings. I thought it would be also be fun to have a tree in our basement that displayed many of the kids’ favourite ornaments, and ordered this 4.5′ Christmas tree for our basement playroom.
I set the tree up and spend a few minutes fluffing the branches. My 4 year old even loved fluffing the branches, the tree was just the right height! It didn’t take long for the tree to look lush and full. It really is a basic tree, no lights included, but I think that’s why I love it. I already had some Christmas lights I could use, and many, many ornaments, so that wasn’t an issue.
We chose ornaments mostly in shades of blue and silver for this tree, hoping to play off the blue wall in our playroom. The kids have collected special ornaments over the years, and many of them ended up on this little tree. We have more to spare for the trees upstairs, so no need to worry!
There’s something about the short and fat shape of this tree that I just love. Isn’t it just the perfect little tree?
