Happy Friday, all! I had a day off work today at my regular job, and my new wreath and rug arrived just in time for me to add them to my fall porch. We’ve had some nice weather this week, but it’s felt more like winter than fall up until this point! It has snowed a few times already; and the winter tires have already been put on the van. Fall is such a beautiful season where I live, but it is just way too short! The frost got the leaves on the trees so they turned from yellow to brown quickly and are now almost entirely on the ground. And so begins the season of everything looking brown—before everything is covered in white snow!

I was drawn to a rusty-orange pop of color this fall (check out this post!) and I decided to bring it to my front porch also. I picked up 4 pumpkins for decor (and to use for carving) a few weeks ago, but I’m sad to say they’ve already started rotting. I had them in our heated garage thinking they wouldn’t freeze in there, but they started rotting anyway. So out they went to the porch—they might as well look pretty for a few days because they sure aren’t going to make it to Halloween for carving! I turned them so their good side was more visible–you can hardly tell they are frozen and rotting!
I’ve been looking for a pretty fall wreath for my front door, so I when I came across this beautiful fall berry wreath I knew it would be perfect! I love the natural twig base and the classic fall colors in the flowers and berries.
I wanted to get a new rug for the front porch with some orange in it. But I didn’t want anything too bright! I ordered this terracotta rug because I have the same one in another color and love it (see this post!).
I couldn’t wait to share it, so it hasn’t had time to flatten out completely yet because I literally just unrolled it. I just love it so much and I think it’s the perfect color for fall. It’s just the right amount of color, in my opinion! You can snag my terracotta rug here.
Last year, I bought some white chrysanthemums to put on my porch. They just didn’t last long enough before the frost came for me to justify getting some more though this year. I love how flowers look on a front porch in the fall, so I stopped at Dollar Tree today and picked up a few faux flowers. If you pick through them, you can find some realistic looking ones that work well in a bundle! I found a bunch in shades of orange, brown, and cream, and placed them in an old crock.
The lanterns, hello doormat, faux fur throw blanket, and planters I already had.
What do you all think of my fall porch? It was fun adding some color to my front porch this year, and my faux flowers won’t mind the frost one bit!
