I said back in this post that I would update you all on how I liked my new white duvet cover (that I paid less than $30 for) and let you know how it was holding up. We’ve had this duvet cover for a solid two months now, and I am pleasantly surprised with how much I love it.

First of all, my favorite thing about it is how soft it is. It is made of a microfiber material, and is soft and cozy on our bed. You could say the fabric is on the thinner side, but it keeps us warm at night, without being too hot. I would say the color is a true white—not cream or ivory. Two pillow shams came with the duvet cover, which is nice because sometimes they aren’t included. It has a zipper closure, which I like. Most of my other duvet covers have button or snap closures, and often the buttons fall off, or the snaps come undone. With button duvet covers, sometimes the duvet itself will gape through the holes in between the buttons and hang out. This is not a problem with my new duvet cover. There are two zipper pulls, so you can zip them up to meet in the middle, or just zip it to one end or the other. Size wise, this duvet cover fits our oversized duvet better than many of my other covers.
As far as washing goes, it has washed and dried well on normal cycles. It looks a bit wrinkled when I take it out of the dryer, but the wrinkles seem to just fall out when it’s on our bed. It has a nice smooth look to it, and I definitely didn’t iron it! Really, the only negative so far has been that there is one little snag in the fabric, most likely from my cat’s claws. I don’t think I would have noticed it though if I wasn’t looking really close as I was taking pictures! Cat hair does stick to the fabric a bit, but I haven’t found a fabric that it doesn’t stick to, so I simply use one of these lint rollers to roll it off quickly if I notice any cat hair.
I recently added these eyelet euro shams to my bed, and I love how pretty they look! I am pleased with how well they go with the duvet cover as far as color goes, and they are a similar fabric. I thought the eyelet fringe detail might be a little stiff, but it is a nice, flowly material. I love the vintage farmhouse feel they have. I used my large Ikea feather pillow inserts that I already had to put inside, and they fit perfectly.
I’ve also had these buffalo plaid pillow covers for a while now, and I keep moving them from room to room because I love decorating with them so much! I tossed them on the bed in front of the eyelet pillows. These feather pillow inserts will fit an 18′ x 18′ pillow cover.
When I checked a couple weeks ago, my white duvet cover had gone way up in price, but I just checked again and it is back on sale for $29.99 for a KING size duvet cover, which is SOOO cheap for a nice duvet cover with shams! If you are wanting one, you may want to snag one now in case they go up in price again.
So there you have it! My honest review of my white duvet cover. For the price, you really can’t go wrong. I love mine, and would recommend it!
