If you’re looking for rug inspiration for your home—you’ve come to the right place! Today I’m going to show you my top 5 favorite rugs, all of which I have in my own home. I think a great rug can really make the room, and they can help tie the style and colors of the room together. Rugs are my go to decor item to switch up in a room when I am wanting a fresh look. If you ask my husband, he would say I have too many—but I, of course, would disagree!

Rug in my Living Room & Master Bedroom
I own two of these rugs in my home. I have one in our living room and the other is in our master bedroom. I love the farmhouse style and neutral colors, and I think the geometric pattern gives it a modern look. The pattern fades in and out which makes it look vintage, which I absolutely love. It’s been easy to vacuum and spot clean, which is so important in my houseful of 4 kids and 1 cat! If I had to choose just one rug, this would be it!
This is the rug I purchased for our basement media room. I am so impressed with the quality and softness of this rug. My kids love to play on it, and it is a great quality rug for a great price. I snagged this one on sale, and I’m so glad I did! I love it so much in our basement media room, which is a work in progress. See this post for more on our basement media room!
Ivory Rug in My Daughter’s Room
I bought this rug for my daughter’s room, and I think it’s perfect. It has a nice neutral palette and really would go with the decor in any room in our home. Her walls are Palladian Blue by Benjamin Moore, and I think it really helps tie things together. If I didn’t already have a great rug in my living room, this would be the rug I would choose. I plan to write a post soon about my daughter’s room!
This rug is the same as the ivory/gray rug above, but in a dark grey. I bought this rug for our front entry way recently. Usually I have just a small rug in this entry, but I wanted to get a larger rug for the space. I love that this rug is dark, so it hides the dirt. This is a beautiful, well-made rug, that would be perfect in a a bedroom or living area too. See this post for more about my entry way.
I am so pleased with the look of this rug in my boys’ room. It is the perfect shades of grey and navy, and I love how it looks with the plaid Ikea duvet covers. It also goes great with our wall color (Stonington Gray by Benjamin Moore). I think it has the perfect vintage feel to it. See this post for more on my Boys’ Room!
So there you have it! My top 5 choices for farmhouse style rugs, all of I have in my home! They are all beautiful and good quality, so I don’t think you will be disappointed with any of them!
